Theatrical credits include four seasons with the Shaw Festival. Those credits include: “The House of Bernarda Alba”, “The Apple Cart”, “The Madras House”, and “You Can’t Take It With You”; as well as numerous productions for CanStage and appearances in regional theatres across Canada and the U.S.
Los Angeles stage credits include “Tennessee Jar”, (co-starring with Mark Ruffalo), for which Ms. Cormack won the L.A. Dramalogue Award for best performance.
For the past number of years, Ms. Cormack has taught “The On-Camera Audition Lab”, along with workshops that also address the business side of the actor’s life. She also worked for several years with the Directors Guild of Canada, teaching an on-camera audition lab designed specifically for the Director's audition process and point of view.
Most recently, Lynne has designed the very successful "Nailing the Small Role" workshop. This is a one-day intensive that addresses the specific problems inherent in auditioning for roles 12 lines or under. Extremely practical, very affordable & a great intro into the mysteries of the casting room!
Lynne has also taught for The Academy at the Shaw Festival, The National Theatre School of Canada (as a visiting director in camera studies for 4 years), the Directors Guild of Canada,
Equity Showcase Theatre, St. Lawrence College and the P.E.I. Conservatory. She also works extensively with private students, both in specific audition coaching and the overall process of acting for the camera.
Lynne has also taught at the Canadian Film Centre, working with the actors in the Conservatory Program. Lynne has also had the great pleasure of working in Halifax with members of ACTRA MARITIMES.
